The growth rate in the field of intellectual property and the recent international dynamics on the strict enforcement of intellectual property rights have led us to undertake extensive research in this discipline and the firm offers a broad-based service in this field. In particular, we provide the following services:
- Act as consultants in the identification, registration, protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights, and generally provide advice on copyright and trade secrets such as formula, model, the compilation, program, device, method, technique or process used in the business; marks such as words, names, symbols, sounds, or colors that distinguish goods and services from those made or sold by others and indicate the source of the goods; patent rights; and plant breeders’ rights;
- Provide legal and practical advice to individuals and businesses on the existence, registration and enforcement of literary works such as novels, poems, plays and performers’ shows; reference works such as books and articles; films and television programs; musical compositions; choreography; artistic works such as paintings, drawings, photographs and sculptures; architecture; advertisements, trade names and designations; maps, technical drawings, computer programs and plant breeders’ rights;
- Conduct research on intellectual property rights, law and practice, and publish the results of such research;
- Develop and authorize the use of copyrights and trade secrets, trademarks, patents and plant breeders’ rights on behalf of intellectual property rights holders;
- Editorial agreements such as copyright license agreements, intellectual property assignment agreements, future copyright assignment agreements, time brokerage agreements, etc., in relation to the licensing and/or sale of intellectual property rights;
- Undertake IP acquisition or recognition, sale, promotion and management activities;
- Assist clients in identifying intellectual property issues, solutions, challenges and strategies as well as disciplinary actions;
- Undertake intellectual property market intelligence for opportunities, competitors and infringers;
- Protect intellectual property rights by registering and applying disciplinary measures against violators of intellectual property rights;
- Undertaking the business of IP Exchange by acquiring and selling intellectual property rights, negotiating spin-offs;
- Negotiate the sharing of intellectual property rights between intellectual property rights holders;
- Negotiate the transfer or sale of intellectual property between owners of intellectual property rights and buyers of intellectual property rights;
- Advice intellectual property rights holders on decision-making regarding the maintenance, marketing or donation of intellectual property assets;
- Advice intellectual property rights holders on the economic aspects of the enforcement of intellectual property rights;
- Performing an inventory of a client’s Intellectual Property (IP);
- Valuing intellectual property and determining appropriate royalty rates for licensing and/or selling intellectual property rights; And
- Advice on restrictive business practices.
